My work explores the patterns created by line and light in the urban landscape. These small, unnoticed but dynamic elements are captured through photography, creating a stillness in movement. Translated into ceramics, the essential qualities of line, light and contrast take on a new dynamic.
Utilising multiple inter-disciplinary processes alongside traditional and digital skills, my work navigates positives and negatives both within the imagery and the processes.
Delicate and translucent materials such as porcelain paper clay contrast with robust metals to translate 2-dimensional shadow to 3-dimensional form. These are in constant motion through the interplay of light.
